SEL’s approach is aimed at building the capacity of individuals and organizations by solving work place issues.
SEL's approach is influenced by human-centered design, which is problem solving, commonly used in design and management frameworks that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the process. 
Additionally, SEL uses Action Research Model which is problem centered, client centered, and action oriented.
It involves the client system in a diagnostic, active-learning, problem-finding, and problem-solving process.
